Location
The model was sitting in the doorframe of the front door of an bungalow...but for this kind of closeup, the location is not that important. This all happend in Lehnin/Brandenburg in germany.Time
It was 2016 06-12 at 13:52:56 ...thanks to the Exif.Lighting
Just the sunlight - the picture was taken in the shade...it was a real soft light.Equipment
A Nikon D800e with the Nikon 70-200 / f/2.8 VR II lens.Inspiration
The idea was to show a calm mood...a closer look at the emotion of the model. Very inspired by the work and advice of my friend and great photographer Jean Noir. His work is really worth a look!Editing
Raw conversion with Capture One - correction of whitebalance, exposure, contrast...just basic things as usual. Careful retouching in Photoshop: Healbrush, dodge&burn, fine tuning...that's it.In my camera bag
Most of the times: a Nikon D800e with the Nikon 70-200 / f/2.8 VR II lens. Sometimes a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f1/1.4G and when I like to or when needed an ELINCHROM - Ranger RX Speed AS with one or two Ranger A flash heads and a 21" beauty dish - often with grid.Feedback
Search the light and try to catch the moment - not a pose. Direct your model to take a role - makes it much easier to tell a story, especially when you shoot a series of photos. Have somekind of concept for your session.
