This has such an edgy creepy cool look to it. I love when I can look at a photo and get all the emotion. Great work!

Location
This photo was taken at my room during a Halloween party.Time
It was night, so no sunlight was involved.Lighting
The light source is a flash pointing at the ceiling for a bounce-light effect.Equipment
The camera I used is a Nikon D5100 with the kit lens (18-55), along with a Nissin Di866 mark2 flash unit.Inspiration
During Halloween you can see a lot of different and interesting disguises and make-ups, so it is pretty easy for me to get inspired! Plus the fact that I like portraits...Editing
I mostly use Lightroom to edit my photos. First of all I wanted to make the photo black and white as I thought it would be more intense and full of character. Apart from that, basic editing like contrast, some gradient filters (from the top to the bottom, the light gets darker). In my camera bag
I always have my D5100 , 3 lenses (18-55mm, 35mm 1,8G and 50mm 1.4E) plus the Nissin Di866 mark2 flash unit.Feedback
The light is very important, so that you can pump out all the face details you want for your photo...Play a lot with the angles and find something that fits the person you have in your frame! And finally, edit your photos in a way that suits your aesthetics!
