Location
I took this photo at the backyard of my cottage in Mesochoria, Evia.Time
If I remember correctly, it was midday.Lighting
Nothing special about the light. It wasn't too sunny nor too cloudy.Equipment
I always use my Nikon D5100, but that day I tried my friend's Canon 60D along with an ultra wide lens.Inspiration
First of all I love taking animal photos, because they are so spontaneous and the outcome has always a natural feeling. Apart from that, it was the first time I was using an ultra wide lens, so if you combine those two, good things can happen!Editing
The photo was originally in colour but I made it b&w, because in that way I could focus more on Tyra. Otherwise, the green grass on the backround would take my attention away. I also put some grain on the photo for a film-like touch. In my camera bag
As I said before, I own a Nikon D5100 with 3 lenses (18-55mm kit lens, 35mm 1.8G, 50mm 1.4E) and I recently bought an external flash unit Nissin Di866.Feedback
Well, animals need patience in order to achive the right photo, so you will have to click a lot of times, unless you are photoshooting a sloth. Try to focus on eyes! Like in human portraits, eyes hide all the expressiveness, and are the ones who will make your photo special.
