Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my tarrace.

Time

It was night.

Lighting

The light source is a lamp above the two men.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D5100 with the 18-55mm kit lens. No flash or tripod has been used.

Inspiration

When I took this photo I had in mind some kind off action movie poster.

Editing

I did a bit of basic editing, but the most important element in my opinion was the colour grading. I tried to get a fire-light feeling

In my camera bag

I use nikon Z6 with 24-70mm f/4 for almost any kind of photos and video, a manual focus nikkor 50mm f/1.4 for portraits and a godox flash. I also use a tokina 16-28mm f/2.8

Feedback

If we are talking about action movie portraits, i suggest hard light and intense eyes. Contrast will help a lot.
