Some people never leave the safety of home to experience real life. Maybe Emily will give it a try someday. She looked out that window long enough to have two life times pass by, not for me.

This is a nature contest... in my opinion, an elephant is NOT made to hold a child on its trunk. This is called abuse!
The photographer did a great job, no doubt.

It was a composite image so the background was on the beach in Grand Cayman Island, the picture of my daughter was taken at my parents horse farm and the elephant was from photographers unleashed on etsy and I am not sure where they took that image.Time
The picture of the sky was done at sunset, the picture of my daughter taken mid day, and elephant is from photographers unleashed on Etsy so I am not sure.Lighting
The sky had beautiful lighting with warmth from the sunset, the picture of my daughter was done in the share to avoide highlights and shadows.Equipment
Nikon D4s, 200mm 2.0, Lightroom and photoshop elements 13.Inspiration
This image is a very special picture that means a lot to me. It is my daughter and after a very long and painful struggle with pregnancy loss and infertility we found out we were pregnant with twins. While I was going through my struggle and pregnancy losses I used to listen to the song "Baby Mine" from Disney's Dumbo. It used to be very painful for me to hear but after I gave birth to my twins I sang that to them every night and it became a song of hope and love instead of one of sadness and loss. I wanted an image to capture that time of my life and my children's lives. This embraced it perfectly for me.Editing
It is a composite image so I took three images to place into one. I took the image of the girl and the sky and used the elephant from Photographers Unleashed on Etsy. It took a lot of prep work and time to make sure I got each element of this image just right. In my camera bag
I carry two camera bodies: Nikon D4s and Nikon D800 along with my 200mm 2.0, 85mm 1.4mm and 70-200 2.8 all for Nikon.Feedback
You have to be able to image how you want you image to look before you even shoot it. Imagination is what you really have to trigger into when doing composite images. Each composite is a view into my imagination. Try to think how each image should look and do your research in how to better yourself in editing and shooting techniques.
