Behind The Lens

Location

I shoot this picture in one city garden. Just walking around and this guy asked me for cigarette. And we start talking, and that is :)

Time

Curious fact is the date of the picture.. It is the same as the date of ending of this contest, but six years before. It is 7 April 2012.

Lighting

The light is natural.. Nothing special, no reflector, no speedlight, nothing.. Just a cloudy day.

Equipment

When I took the photo I was using Nikon D5100 and the kit lens 18-55.. I even don't remember is it VR :)

Inspiration

What inspired me.. It was time of ending of one relationship, with one girl.. I was sad. And this guy told me his story. He just distract me of my problems. And i just asked him to take a photo of the man witch separate me of my feelings for a moment.

Editing

The post processing is simple.Just pull down the saturation slider, pull the contrast up a bit, and brightness layer with mask on the eyes.

In my camera bag

In this days I'am using Nikon D810, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 85mm f1.8G, Samyang AE14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC, Nikkor AF-S 70-200/2.8G ED VRII N, Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art, Nikkor 28mm f/1.8G AF-S and godox Xpro commander with few speedlights. But on time of the this photo, I was using just Nikon D5100 with the kit lens.

Feedback

Just be on the street, there is always some people with nice story. And look the in the eyes, they can tell you more than anything.
