Location
I captured this photo on the White Pass Railway in the Yukon territory.Time
This was on our way back to the rail station and was probably taken around 2pm.Lighting
The cloudy terrain helped to diffuse the light and kept it from being harsh despite the midday time of the shot. Anytime I have cloud cover during the day, I get excited.Equipment
I took this with a Nikon D600 and a Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8. It was a handheld shot from the back of the train.Inspiration
As I mentioned, I liked the clouds that had nestled in the mountains and I loved how the train was rounding this particular bend.Editing
All of my shots are edited in Lightroom and then this one was also edited in Nik's Anolog Efx 2.In my camera bag
I carry my Nikon D600, a Fujifilm XT-2, several Nikon lenses, a couple filters, a second battery, some cards and a tripod.Feedback
Always see the world with fresh eyes. Traveling inspires me because I love to document the new beautiful places I see. If that isn't possible, then try to see the places you have been from a new perspective and fin creative ways to shoot familiar things.
