I took this photo while on a day trip to Lough Boora Park in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.Time
It was in the early afternoon on a bright, dry day in the Irish summer.Lighting
Lighting in this picture was perfect as it was an outdoor shot on a bright, but not too sunny day.Equipment
I used my Canon 1200D, lens was 18 - 55 mm.Inspiration
I was cycling along the path when I came across this little guy. The first thing which struck me about him was his size. It was easily the biggest snail I had ever seen. When I looked at him, seeing him crossing the path, I thought he looked like he was on a journey. Where to? Who knows. Slowly but surely he was getting there.Editing
This image is unedited. In my camera bag
Canon 1200D. 18 - 55 mm lens, nifty 50 lens (F 1.8), 70-300mm lens. Speedlight, reflector, batteries and memory cards.Feedback
Keep your eyes open, don't be afraid to get onto ground level, lying down if you have to. Don't lose the perfect shot just to keep your clothes clean! Every picture should tell a story. Use your imagination and the possibilities are endless!
