The dimensions of the church are: 160 feet in length, 60 feet wide, and an 84-foot transept. The cornerstone of the new St. Francis Xavier Church was laid on May 21, 1903, on the feast of the Ascension of our Lord. This cornerstone contains copies of the Petoskey Record Independent Democrat and Petoskey News, along with a proclamation (in Latin) of this event. This event coincided with the 25th Anniversary of the City of Petoskey. Throughout the last 114 years, St. Francis was blessed to have the Franciscans faithfully leading our community.

Well done getting the whole church into the frame.

Thanks! This was the full limit for this lens, and I was so happy it did not distort the shape of the church. The sun was full on the front of the church which helped make the bell tower and peak really clear and detailed.
