Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in a park in downtown San Jose Ca.Time
The photo was taken around noon on an overcast Winter day.Lighting
natural lighting, I was shooting with 3 more models and Sandra was waiting her turn and I saw her on the bench and the image of her on the bench just totally made sense to me, we try a couple of different poses but this was the one that clicked with me right away.Equipment
Camera: Mamiya 645 Pro medium format(film) with a 80mm f/2.8, the film was Ilford FP plus 125, I developed the film and printed the image in the photo lab.Inspiration
her beauty and the color of her eyes, I took a lot of photos of her smiling and all but this one is the one that truly show her beauty.Editing
I did some burning on the sweater as part of it came out too white(all in the photo lab not on the computer). In my camera bag
after they stole all my film equipment(Mamiya 645 pro with all 7 lenses) I moved to digital and now in my bag is Canon T6i camera; canon EFS 10-18mm F/4.5-5.6 lens, EFS 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 and 70-300mm f/4-5.6; cable release, 2 flash lights; SLIK Pro 500HD tripod with INDURO AKB2/BH2 ball head; and extra batteries and Paper Spray(just in case).Feedback
be original and always try new things, talk with your models before the photo shoot so you can have a better idea of what they like or dont like and then use that information to help them to have the right expression for the best photo and most importantly have fun.
