Location
I took this photo on an empty desert road in California somewhere near the Salton Sea, I like to get lost out in the middle of nowhere.Time
This photo was taken in the evening right before a storm came in.Lighting
Because of the incoming storm I had great natural light to work with.Equipment
During this trip I used my Canon 70d, and actually used my kit lens canon 18mm-75mm, a polarizer filter and my tripod.Inspiration
I was driving down this road and the lighting was beautiful, I had M83 playing in the car and everything just looked like a shot from a movie, I had to get out and shoot.Editing
I used lightroom to add a litthe bit more drama by reducing the noise bringing up the highlights and giving it a slight cool tint.In my camera bag
I usually carry around my tripod canon 70d, a couple filter (ND filter and polarizer), also my remote lens cloth and a 50mm canon lens, kit lens, and a 24-135 zoom lens.Feedback
I always recomend the mood especially for empty desert roads. Put on some music to get inspired drive out to the middle of no where and let that moment find you. Also be aware of clouds or clear skies. I feel clouds wI'll add alot more to your story then a clear sky especially if your shooting in black and white.
