I shared your photo on my FB because I hope you win. This is so natural, so sensitive to the surroundings, and a beautiful capture. Seemingly unenhanced, just strikingly real. Thank you and I do hope you win because you should. ;->)

I love this!!! One of my favorite movies is Hitchcock's 'The Birds', and I keep watching for the birds to attack here. Extraordinary work. :)

Location
I took this image at Huntington Beach, in southern California.Time
Taken around 4:15 p.m. on December 2nd, 2011Lighting
This is probably one of my all time favorite shots. The sun was setting in the Pacific Ocean, the Seagulls were everywhere casting soft shadows on the sand, and the man walking on the beach captured my attention. The natural lighting was just amazing. I thought, wow that would make a great shot! And it did!Equipment
My equipment was a simple Canon Rebel XS, with 70-300mm lens. No tripod on this one, just hand held.Inspiration
We had been at the beach most of the afternoon, taking shots of everything and anything. With the sun setting, my photography partner and I were poised to capture the sunset. After taking tons of pictures, we were packing up our gear and heading back to the parking lot, when I turned around and saw this scene. I couldn't help but capture it for all time. The birds, the water, the pier and the setting sun...what an awesome way to end a perfect day at the beach!Editing
I didn't do any post processing of this image. This is straight from the camera. In my camera bag
Canon EOS Rebel XS, 18-55mm lens, 70-300mm, and 400mm lens.Feedback
Follow your heart and your instincts! If it makes you say "wow", then shoot it. Chances are very good that others will say "wow" as well!
