Behind The Lens

Location

Taken inside the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.

Time

Mid morning

Lighting

The natural lighting was horrible due to blizzard conditions. Between that and the bitter cold wind, I stayed inside the car, rolled down the window, and took the shot.

Equipment

Fuji FinePix S5700

Inspiration

Because humor in Nature is all around. I knew the Elk would be visible that day.

Editing

A little bit of cropping is all that was done.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS Rebel XS, cleaning cloth for lenses, air duster, extra batteries, smart cards, pencil and pad for writing down details, 18-55mm lens and a 300mm lens.

Feedback

Always be mindful of where your are, what type of animals are known to the area, and which weather conditions will be right for seeing them.
