This photo was taken at Detroit Lake Dam in Oregon. There is so much history about the old town of Detroit and how the dam was built. The town of Detroit was moved to higher ground. I stood on the dam right on top of the spillway. I used my phone as I didn`t have my camera with me.Time
This was taken in the early afternoon, it was a little overcast and a perfect day for photosLighting
Nothing special about lighting, it was natural light available. There wasn`t any direct sun light just partial overcast conditionsEquipment
I used my cell phone as I didn`t have my Canon camera with meInspiration
I love to take photos looking down on a subject. I think it presents an unusual angle, so when I saw this I had to snap the photoEditing
I did enhance the color some to bring it up to what it looked like to the eye. Detroit lake has different beautiful colors from blues, grays and green waterIn my camera bag
I have two Canon cameras, EOS Rebel T3 and EOS Rebel T7, extra batteries, short lens and telephoto lensFeedback
When taking photos looking down on a subject, sometimes its a great straight down shot. I like taking it at a small angle, I think it gives better perspective
