Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a small flat in Montreal with an amazing model, Cristiana Bodnariuc

Time

It was near 12:00, at the end of a 2 hours of a productive shoot where we explored different moods.

Lighting

I was experimenting with countinous light. In this case we were far from the windows and I had to compose with the available light, with a mixture of incandescent and a fluorescent light at natural light temperature. I uses the last one, lighter, to light the face and use to room incandescent light for filling in the background and provide a warmer color on the hair. I had to push the ISO to 1000 to get a good exposure.

Equipment

Nikon Z6, hand-held, 24-70 Z lens

Inspiration

I was looking for close-up, with inspiration from bodyscape, and we came up with this frame done by the leg. I did few shots, moving a little to change the angle and came with this one.

Editing

Mainly white balance and basic retouch.

In my camera bag

For this kind of shoot, I usually have a big backpack with a lot of stuff to adapt tp the place (tape, extension, etc.)
