Location
This photo was taken at sunset in Kata Beach, Thailand.Time
Our resort was on the west side of the peninsula so we were able to watch amazing sunsets every night. This was one of those evenings.Lighting
The lighting offered dramatic effect's not only in the sky but on the reflection of the sand and draws the eye to the setting sun.Equipment
We spent the afternoon relaxing poolside at our resort so I left my camera and tripod in the room. As the sun started to set, we wwnt down to the beach. By the time I realized it was going to be an awesome sunset, it was too late to run up to our room to grab my camera and tripod so I just used my phone. At first I was mad that I didn't have my camera but after taking the picture I was glad I used my phone because it was easier to position it low to the ground to get this dramatic shot. I know if I had my camera, I wouldn't have been as daring to put it so low to the water.Inspiration
I love how the sky reflects on the wet sand and the feeling of peace it gives.Editing
I lifted some of shadows to brighten some of the darker areas. In my camera bag

Get low to the ground to give some depth and a more dramatic effect to the photo. Since I was using my phone, it was easier to get it lower to the ground.
