Location
This photo was taken at my house. I've been trying to capture him for awhile but he seldom sits still long enough for me to capture him.Time
This was taken in the late afternoon.Lighting
This lighting was in the late afternoon through a tinted glass door.Equipment
I didn't have my camera nearby, this was taken with my cell phone.Inspiration
He was fixed on a lizard that was on the patio. The shadowed reflection from the patio door and the light shining on his face made it irresistible.Editing
The background was already dark from the shadows but I wanted it black and more consistent so that background would be a distraction. So I decreased the shadows and increased the black tones. In my camera bag
Canon 6D, 50mm 1.4 lens and 24-105 lens; Galaxy S10 cellphone when my camera isn't handyFeedback
Be patient. I had been trying to capture my cat for awhile but cats or animals in general don't always cooperate. And even if you don't always have your camera available, don't be afraid to pull out your cellphone. Some of these cell phone cameras produce some pretty high quality images.
