Location
I'm in a car club called the "Barons" and once a year at Easter we have a driving event on a dirt track and have a bit of fun with the cars.Time
This shot was taken on the 31st of March 2018 at around 1pm.Lighting
The original image was shot in colour however owing to the harsh lighting I thought the image would look better and have more impact in black & white.Equipment
Shot with a Canon EOS 5D. Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8 lens at Aperture f/6.3 ISO 100 Shutter 1/500 Focal Length 115mm.Inspiration
Most times classic old cars are driven to a car show, parked and then driven home again. So the only photos you take are static, they look nice but can lack life. Being in a car club and having access to cool old rides being driven in the dirt, they start to come alive which you can see with other images that I have posted.Editing
The image was shot in camera RAW and processed in Photoshop RAW with final editing in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I run a Canon EOS 5D mk3 with Canon EF 35-70-mm 2.8, a EF 16-35mm 2.8 and EF 70-200mm 2.8 lenses which cover my landscape, Hot rod, Pinup and Warbird photography.Feedback
Before shooting, watch the cars and drivers for awhile. You will soon figure out who will put their car through the paces and which part of the track offers the best opportunities for action.
