Found these kittens in this position on one of the alleys in the Souq (market), probably waiting for their mother. With a beautiful sunlight coming from the opening of the alley, I dropped on my knees and took a photo of them.

The photo was taken when I was having my solo photo walk in Souq Waqif. I found these kittens in one of the alleys probably waiting for their mother to feed them.Time
It was around 7:00 a.m. after I dropped my daughters at their school. I headed to Souq Waqif before proceeding to our office to take some snaps since I still have enough time to spend to walk around.Lighting
I always depend on a natural light. These kittens were perfectly placed in the alley where the sunlight cast a drama from where they were positioned.Equipment
With my Canon EF100mm 2.8 macro attached to my Canon 5D Mark 2 with no flash, which makes easier for me to drop on my knees or lie down while taking the best angle.Inspiration
That day I was really looking forward to taking photos of the merchandise displayed and being sold on each store. Then I stumble on these stray cute kittens warming themselves in the sun. I love animals, I have a pet in our house. Looking closely at them made me feel connected and with the natural light casting on them, it was a sight for me to behold.Editing
I am a jpeg shooter, I do not go for a heavy processing. I used photoshop for adjusting contrast, a bit of saturation and a bit of sharpening and a little amount of dodge and burn.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon 5D Mark 2 in my bag, very reliable and been using for 6 years now with Canon EF24-70mm 28, Canon EF100mm 28 macro and of course my favourite Canon EF70-200mm 2.8 v2. These are my usual companion and recently I have added Canon EF85mm 1.2 in my team. I also carry my flash Canon 600ex rt in case I might be needing but most of the time I depend on using natural light.Feedback
There are lots of stray cats or kittens out there which you can take so many photos of them but try look for a better angle and take advantage of any good light available. For me, I preferred to shoot in the morning.
