Dear Amanda: This is a beautiful old home. Hard to believe it was taken apart and shipped to America and then re-built. It is one of the oldest and most distinguished old buildings at Greenfield Village. Thanks for writing! I hope all is well for you and your family. :) :)

The honey coloured stone is called Cotswold stone . Its what all the houses around here are made from .
