Behind The Lens
Location
Being on holiday in Hurghada, Egypt we ordered an excursion from native boys to the village of Bedouins. The moment has been captured on our return from the desert village to the suburb, where there was the technology park of the arrangers of the excursion and a peculiar outdoor restaurant with a dance floor.Time
The photo was taken about an hour before the sunset.Lighting
Throughout the day it had been hot and the sun had been shone. Just before the return the clouds appeared in the sky, far away it was heard the thunder. It was getting dark and cool.Equipment
I used the camera Nikon D7100 with lens AF-S Nikkor 24-70 2,8G ED.Inspiration
While driving to the desert and seeing the specific landscape with an electric power line I intuitively felt that I might take an interesting photo that day. The clouds that had appeared into the sky added some excitement. We drove by two-seater dune buggies that drove one after the other. I asked my wife to drive the car, so that I could better handle my camera in a moving car. I intently started to wait for the moment where all the landscape objects could be in a suitable position. To get a special photo I happened to be in a suitable place.Editing
I have a little bit adjusted brightness, contrast, shades and sharpness. In my camera bag
In my bag there are mainly Nikon D7100, Nikkor AF-S 24-70 2,8G ED, Nikkor AF-S 35mm 1,8G, almost always a flash lamp with a control panel and of course a tripod. In addition to them sometimes there is also 30-year old Russian objective lens.Feedback
When you move around in a landscape, in social events, etc. with your camera, try always to imagine the photo in your mind beforehand. Before you pull the trigger think if the capturing moment or a photo intrests seriously both, you and a viewer.Often look at the photos of the best and renowned photographers. Read photojournalism, take some classes. Learn to see the light and use it while composing to interesting images. It is always useful to do your homework before taking analogical photos, to find possibilities for different vehicles, to follow the weather forecast, etc. In case of car rallys it is useful to go and find the possible interesting set beforehand.
