I was at my home talking with my crush so technically this pic was dedicated to her since the idea was indirectly given by her so I went on to take the shot.Time
I was really striving to click a shot that pushes my limits and takes out my creativity but I couldn't fond the concept. And she called, I still remember the phone call, her voice and her sweet laugh. Right after she hung up after saying good night, the idea popped out and the chess pieces became my models.Lighting
Since the pic was taken at my home with my mobile phone the only lighting available for me was the domestic house lights so I've to position the adjusting them to recieve the lights on the particular places so I can deliver the picture as I wanted.Equipment
This was taken during the early days where I was struggling without a camera so the pic settings are as follows: Camera: iPhone 5s, Aperture: f/2.2, ISO: 60, Exposure: 1/17Inspiration
I would say my love and affection towards this girl. The feelings and emotion we felt between us even though we shared so much difference almost in everything. From skin color to race to culture and etc. So this 2 chess pieces became a tribute to that, more like a way of appreciating like a photographer.Editing
I edited this picture using Instagram. Have to correct the highlights and brightness since the lightings are from the source I can't control and Instagram editing tools are pretty simple and easier for me since I was using my mobile phone. In my camera bag
D90 camera with AF-S 18-105mm VR Kit Lens, aforementioned tripod, along with a remote trigger, a polarising filter and ND grad filters (All belongs to my late aunty sk I just picked them up and became her successor) and also my phone in my pockets.Feedback
You need to work a lot in correcting the lighting so you can avoid the shadows from ruining your click and please do get your perfect angle for the click. Last but not least, the most important thing required in taking this kind of click is.... PATIENCE.
