Location
It was taken at a coffee shop using their table lamp.Time
I remember taking this pic around 9pm.Lighting
I wanted this image to look mysterious and aesthetic. Kinda eerie yet colorful so I used the table lamps at the coffee shop and directed them to both half of the face.Equipment
My fav take and go set up is my Nikon D90 and Nikkor 35mm f1.8. I used the same setup here too.Inspiration
I wanted to show some deep feel to a shot. While I was looking for the right moment to take it, the table lamps and the model cooperated very well to allow me to get the outcome.Editing
Usually portrait photography with limited and direct light source needs a lot of post processing especially balancing the highlight, exposure and the shadows. I focused on keeping the exposure as long as possible before adding the colors. In my camera bag
As I mentioned before, I always carry my Nikon D90, Nikkor 35mm lens and my Nikon kit lens wherever I go.Feedback
Always try to get the right angle. The lighting is important to get the mood. Make sure the lights are not so harsh or hitting the model's eyes to avoid bad pics.
