I love the way the mist hides the ground below the buildings--fantastic shot

Thank you, John, there is a golf field behind this area, that's why it looks like it's endless, but in fact it's just low rises there.

it's photoshop autostitching panorama plug in, I believe. I can't even remember if I used the tripod, but I think I shot vertical images.

Location
I used to live in a high rise tower on 74th floor, so this is taken from my balcony! Dubai is one of those cities that never stays the same and as this shot was taken in 2013, this view has changed already.Time
This is right after sunrise. Usually, Dubai fog is something that lasts only for a couple of hours. It is worthwhile waking up for this.Lighting
Nice first light of the morning. It made sharp shadows on some of the buildings, but illuminated other with this fantastic orange light.Equipment
Just my camera, tripod and finger. After I became a pro photographer, a lot of people thought that they have to share their opinion with me on my camera, my tripod, my lens that was never good enough to be a pro. So get this - cropped frame camera, tripod without panning option, tamron lens without any red rigns on it, but a million dollars shot. So in the end it's not only the equipment.Inspiration
I think I just arrived from the airport that morning and before going to sleep I saw this happening. No inspiration, but who would not go shoot this?Editing
I stitched a panorama out of approximately 8 images and added some contrast and coloured highlights and shadows a bit.In my camera bag
These days I shoot with Fuji xt2, but back then it was all Canon with Tamron lenses.Feedback
Monitor the weather channels and go as high as possible.
