This is the nicest photo of this castle I've ever seen. Wonderful... were you in a boat?

This would work just as well as an abstract if you turn it on its side with the darkest side at the base it looks like a glass goblet.Supurb shot you have a great eye

Gorgeous: in Scotland there's a wee bit of luck in getting in a place like this on a day like this but the opportunity's made the most of in this photo

Location
It's Kilchurn Castle in west Scotland, next to Loch Awe.Time
It was cloudy, calm evening after all-day bicycle trip.Lighting
The sun appeared just for few minutes. It often happens in Scotland, so you have to wait, even in rain.Equipment
My camera is Sony A7r with Sony 24-240 lens with neutral filter, of course with tripod, because exposure time was 289 seconds.Inspiration
Scottish castles are very inspiring. It's something between human construction and nature, witneses of history.Editing
The light was weak, so I tried HDR technique to enhance colors. The effect was surprising even for me.In my camera bag
I have everything needed to camp, including tent an kitchen. If you want to catch a good light, you have to be fed, save and patient. It's not easy to be landscape photographer :)Feedback
Be patient, don't give up easy. In countries like Scotland or Norway don't look for perfect light, because you will not find it. Use each light that you can find, specially between rain showers - the air is full of water then, causing beautiful light effects.
