Location
This photo was taken on September morning in Davisburg Michigan. This was a neighbor's house taken from the end of my dock. It is an HDR image, combining 3 handheld shots, then post-processed in LightRoom.Time
it was a morning shot around 6:30 AMLighting
The little amount of fog added some Softening of the light and colorsEquipment
Canon XTi and a Canon 17-85 lens, Hand HeldInspiration
The morning light is so beautiful on the lake, I noticed the sun rising and the color harmony between the blues and yellows.Editing
I am all about drama and saturation. I will typically follow a Scott Kelby type of workflow where the Highlights are reduced and Shadows are opened, from there I will look to balance the color, reduce Noise and sharpen. In my camera bag
Currently a Canon 7D, Tamron 18 to 400 Super Zoom 3.6 - 6. Tokina 10-20mm Wide-angle Zoom, Various ND Filters, Benro Angel Carbon Fiber Tri-Pod, Platypod Flat Tripod, and snacks...Feedback
Taking an HDR shot is probably the easiest way to get the range of tones without having to push the Post Processing. Keep Shooting is the best advice.
