Pentax 67 with the 55mm Takumar. Handheld.Inspiration
I was visiting the Swiss delegation to the Italian Land Rover club. Usually this area is completely out of bounds for cars but there was an exceptional permit to go as high as we could on the service tracks. I had broken my hand earlier that day when another Land Rover tipped over and I automatically protected my camera. So I ended up in this open model with a very understanding driver who stopped for me to cool my hand in the cold stream and snow. And when i was looking for the next cooling spot I saw this perfect opportunity .Editing
It was shot on Fuji Velvia and processed in E6. Scanned it in my tiny drum scanner. In my camera bag
At that time it used to be my Pentax 67 with 3 bog standard lenses 55, 105 and 300. Bought a D1h in 2004, ever since it has been a second hand pro model with a range of 3 or for lenses. Today it is an 18 3.5 Nikkor. a very rough looking 24-70 2.8 my beloved 180 Sigma Macro and a manual 500 mm Nikkor with an AF adapter converted in Estonia.Feedback
I have similar pictures taken here in my new home. You need a good looking Land Rover and good knowledge of your country tracks. The important ingredients are time and great light.. here in Central America this is early in the morning.
