The southwest end of Lake Superior features one of the largest sandbars in the world. The Minnesota side is Park Point. Heavily developed. The Wisconsin side of that same sandbar is so wild it doesn't even have a name. Call it the big empty. Lovely place for my kids to get sand in their toes.
