This photo was taken in my studio in Budapest.Time
This was taken late february, 2014. 16:28. But taking a "perfect" pic took a while, because i was shooting myself via timer.Lighting
I set up 3 light sources: one main from above/front and two smaller ones from behind/below for getting details and contrast on the legs and the neck-back-arms.Equipment
I used Canon 6D with 50mm 1.4, with the 12 second timer, a tripod, softbox+2 small flashes and a smoke machine.Inspiration
Usually i get inspiration from music and books. They mix up in my head and i get some kind of visions, combined with emotions. What i try to do is, to create that atmosphere, and sometimes i get lucky :)Editing
Getting rid of the chair was the first step, then i added some contrast, some change in colors. Oh and i also had to replace my arm from another shot, cause i was holding the leg of the chair on the original pic. :pIn my camera bag
I like to keep it simple, just my 6D with the 50mm lens.Feedback
Well patience is key with this one, but if you shoot a model it's got to be way more easy, since you don't have to run and check after each shot. The pose and the balance is also imporant, You shouldnt flex all your muscles to look "floaty" .. is that a word? What worked for me was relaxing all my muscles at the time the photo was taken. It took me about an hour to get this shot so have fun experimenting! Cheers! Z
