Location
We were roaming around in the centre of Budapest with the wonderful and talented Dominika Seregi, we ended up at Március 15. square, where we stopped to take some shots in a park next to a church.Time
The pic was taken one year ago, 12th of April, 2014 on a warm afternoon. It was a bit windy and cloudy but it was perfect for a photoshoot.Lighting
As you can see it's all natural lights. The Sun was shining in a narrow ray, and i told Dominika, to pose in the very centre of it. Thats how we got her legs over exposed, which makes a nice contrast, from the dark walls, which is essential for a black and white image.Equipment
The picture was taken with a Canon 6d, with my favourite 50mm f/1.4 lens. I find the low aperture on the fix lens amazing. This one has been my favourite for more than 7 years now. Settings: F:2.5 -to get the model sharp and the background blurred T:1/2500 -fast exposure, cause the model is making fast movements Iso: 100 -cause its mostly sunnyInspiration
About inspiration, I love Budapest and dancers are just mesmerizing. I love shooting in the city centre, as well as working with professional dancers. I also gotta thank the wonderful and talented model Dominika Seregi.Editing
I didnt do anything complicated, just put the image in Black and White and added some blur, contrast and grain. I always shoot in colour so I can choose whatever I want to do while post processing the images. In my camera bag
Just my 6D with the 50mm lens. This is the setup I use most of the time. I have 28-105mm as well, but I rarely end up using that one. I also have a Tokina 11-16mm with f/2.8 which is awsome and fun to experiment with.Feedback
We didnt plan a lot for this shooting, we just roamed the city, searching for something that catches our attention. We just went with the flow and it all worked out perfectly. :) Thats what I'd recommend for everyone, go with the flow and have fun during the process. Cheers! Z
