Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in my home studio

Time

It was the middle of the afternoon in early summer.

Lighting

I wanted to play with basic food styling and lighting. This was my first attempt at staging and light for food.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D850 and and 200 Watt continuous light with a 48inch octobox and shot tethered to my laptop in capture one.

Inspiration

I just wanted to play with food styling.

Editing

I did basic color correction and darkened the shadows.

In my camera bag

That really depends on what I am shooting. My walk around is usually a 24-70 and a 50mm. However I also have most anything from a 15mm to 400mm.

Feedback

Just have fun, build the scene as you go because you can always add more but it’s more challenging to remove some things.
