Location
This is the village of Ftan in the beautiful engadin region of sout-east Switzerland.Time
During the blue hour in the evening.Lighting
Blue hour photos are all about waiting for the right time. The artificial light needs to be on but the sky needs still enough light as well or contrast will be too big. The air should be clear with little moisture.Equipment
I used the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and the lens Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM as well as a tripod.Inspiration
Well I was on ski holidays here and just felt like going out for photography. So I walked up the hill and found this beautiful spot above the village.Editing
Just the usual raw processing. My aim is always to keep the photos natural looking. In my camera bag
I always take my camera, the Canon 5D Mark IV and one or two lenses, mostly the Canon EF 16-35 f4 for landscape, with me. Additionally to the lens I use various neutral density and polar filters to control reflections and the effects of long exposures. And of course a tripod belongs to my basic equipment too.Feedback
Go out, use good equipment, learn raw processing and enjoy it!
