Location
This photo was taken in the Netherlands. My friend Laura Helena and me went to visit Jolien (Fairytas) , the Model.Time
It was around afternoon. We didnt had soo much luck with the feather, it was a bit cold and the clouds were quite big. Though cloudy weather is always good for photos, since we didn't had any harsh shadows.Lighting
We didn't used any additional light, just available light. As said, it was cloudy, so the lightning was perfect for the photos.Equipment
My Canon 5D Mark III and a 24-70mm lens.Inspiration
I love the designs of Fairytas - and I instantly felt in love with this one costume. I wanted to capture it quite moody and melancholic, but also dreamy. I like the cold tones in contrast with the gold elements. It feels very majestic and at the same time a bit sad and dreamy.Editing
Yes - first I added a Color Preset in Lightroom and then did the whole editing process in Photoshop. I adjusted mostly the colors and added a few feathers. In my camera bag
My camera, 2 lenses, a cleaning cloth, tissues, bobby pins, mobilephone, additionaly batteries, memory cards.Feedback
Think about what look you want to create with your images. Do you want a dreamy and melancholic look? Then adjust the colors to rather cold tones, add movement to the hair or use textures like falling petals or similar. Ask models and designers, if they want to work with you if you don't have any fantasy costumes. If you propose to visit the designers they are more willingly to work with you, since they dont need to send the costumes to you, so there is no risk for them (espacially if you dont know each other yet in person).
