I enjoy reading what other photographers have to say about the way they shoot and capture images so that I can attempt to improve in my own photography. One photographer mentioned (a fairly common rule of thumb) that to take compelling and original photos, turn 90 to 180 degrees and look whats in front of you. These mountain peaks are not the main attraction at this photo spot, but as I was passing through I was struck by the jagged peaks rising into the sky right beside the more famous mountain. I made a mental note to make a stop here at the end of the night. The orange glow is the result of a little light pollution and the occasional burst of lightning from a storm on the other side of the mountains.
