Crystal Cove -- Personified Seas
"If you heard your name in the winds and waves, would you answer?
If they beckoned you out of safety and onto high waters, would you go?
More oft than not life calls us.
Yet we do not recognize.
The treasures that lie ahead.
So step out onto the sea."

Love the framing of the sunset by the cave mouth.. A truly stunning masterpiece. I look forward to following your work.

Golden hourLighting
The lighting was tough because I had to shoot directly into the sun. But luckily there was quite a bit of cloud coverage on the horizon.Equipment
Canon 5dii, Wide angle 16x35Inspiration
I really wanted to frame this scene with the small cave opening without getting completely obliterated by the incoming waves. I had to time my decent into the cave perfectly in order to do so.Editing
I don't like to do much to my photos in post. I like keeping it pretty natural and pure. I usually just do adjustments with contrast and lighting. In my camera bag
I have a couple ND filters (3, 6, 10 stop) and an extra lens incase I need to shoot a farther distance. Rain bag, tripod clips, intervelometer, extra memory and batteries.Feedback
Don't be afraid of the waves. Make sure you time it right so preset everything you can before you get into the splash zone. Pay attention to the edges of your frame.
