A very bold / dynamic shot. I admire the amount of detail you achieved both in the foreground as-well as the distant horizon. Very attractive. Kathy

Prior to seeing comments of others, I too was struck by what appeared to be an unusually wide dynamic range. If photographer wasn't using HDR, he aur managed to create a similar effect (somehow). The sharpness of the foreground allows viewer to see the detailed texture of the nearby rocks, as well as the subdued green of the vegetation growing on their surfaces. The entire foreground filling the lower third of the frame is easily seen as composed of three zones at different distances. and a fourth zone of very distant portions of the landscape. This perception is probably supported by the abrupt change in density of finest detail on each zone changing abruptly in density. At what at first appears to be a disordered array of rocks at the photographer's feet, which abruptly gives way to a much lower and more distant valley, is ultimately replaced by perceiving that the scene is composed of these sharply separated zones. The sky is also quite dramatic, and nicely complements the rugged terrain. If the photographer happened on this by accident, then he was very luck and perceptive. My hunch is that he spent a considerable amount of time seeking something so lovely, and succeeded. The warm color predomnate, although nicely complementd by the subtle use of different shades of green I suspect that the use of color was made possible in the editing process, and I approve of it. The slightly orange sky and clouds is very pleasing. Good show!

Superb! Love the detail, toning and the way in which the eye is led through the cleft in the rocks
