Location
This photo was taken in my front garden which is situated in a large Victorian country town in Australia. The kids love exploring all the bugs and insects when we are out in the garden and I always have my camera handy in case I find something interesting!Time
It was taken in the early evening. It was Summer, the days were long and so was the light. It was a beautiful evening to be out in the garden!Lighting
Nothing fancy to share here, no flash, just good natural light. I also lightened it a touch using Photoshop.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3200 with a Tamron 60mm F/2 Macro Lens. That's it! I wanted to capture the moment before it was over.Inspiration
My kids are always inspiring me! Everyday they discover and learn something new. My Son was fascinated by this little snail that carries his home on his back. I try to teach them the importance of life and that every creature big or small has their own place in Nature (even if it is a pesky snail or slug eating Mum's plants!) Those big blue eyes and gentle curiosity... I had to capture the moment to treasure!Editing
Yes, using Photoshop I did a bit of a clean up. I reduced noise, sharpened the image (particularly the eyes) and a touch of light adjustment. In my camera bag
Nikon D3200, Tamron 60mm F/2 Macro lens, Nikon 18-55mm lens with a polarizer filter, Sigma 70-300mm lens, Hoya magnifying filters, lens cleaners, spare SD cards and lip balm :)Feedback
You never know when a great photo moment will arise. Except with kids. Kids seem to always get themselves into interesting photo opportunities! It's good to have your camera on hand and ready to go if you know that you will be doing something that could potentially produce a great photo moment :)
