Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken In Prague, in P?írodní park and is part of a series of photos shot during a walk with a friend who owned this dog breed.

Time

I think that it was about 14:00 - 15:00 maybe, not so sunny, but some clouds on the sky which offered me a great opportunity to shoot this kind of frame with no hard shadows.

Lighting

The light on this photo is natural, is daylight with no sun up on the sky. The sun light passed trough a thin layer of clouds witch acted as a soft-box and spread the light even across my subject and terrain.

Equipment

I took this shot with a Nikon D200 camera and a 50mm lens f/1.4

Inspiration

During the walk trough the park I shot some nice frames with "Marley" - the dog, this photo is a selection from a 3 hour session of shooting trough the forest and in opened areas as this one. I saw this frame the moment our trail stepped out from the forest and brought us along a river. Marley was having so much fun in the water so I decided to walk along the river and grab some photos. We dicovered down the river this wooden bridge that offered me the option to grab this photo as Marley was running towards me and on the bridge.

Editing

This image was processed, just some small enhancements and color corrections.

In my camera bag

I just travel with a D200 nikon camera and a 50mm lens f/1.4.

Feedback

I think the most important detail for this photo was the area where we were, P?írodní park, this beautiful big park situated in Prague offers you enough space, that you can wonder for days and not get bored by the view. I took the opportunity of being so close to this big park and I invited a friend for a walk and asked him to bring his dog also. It was a perfect afternoon spent with a cool dog breed, having fun while shooting some great shots.
