A ranch hand loping up a rise in the evening light. I liked the rim light on the horse.

Location
This photo was taken in Shell, WY at the Hideout Lodge and Guest Ranch.Time
We arrived at this hilltop to end our evening of shooting. This was one of the last photos taken that day.Lighting
I love silhouettes and being able to catch the rim light made this one of my favorites.Equipment
Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 18-200 lens. Hand held, no tripod.Inspiration
My favorite things to photograph are horses. They have always been a part of my life and I love sharing that love with others through photography. It is a joy to see a really great horseman riding and Tom is one of those. He becomes one with his horse which makes it such a pleasure to shoot. There just aren't bad photos when he is on a horse.Editing
Minimum post processing. Cropping and adjustment to lighting. In my camera bag
Two camera bodies - Nikon D7000 and D750. 3 lenses (all Nikkor) - 105 MM, 28-300 & 80-400.Feedback
You can't go wrong photographing at the Hideout Lodge and Guest Ranch. They aim to please! That pretty much says it all.
