Location
I took this photo from an anonymous balcony in Berlin. It was quite adventurous to get there...Time
The photo was taken during the evening blue hour. The first lights of the city give a wonderful contrast to the deep blue color of the sky...Lighting
The photo is a long exposure of 5 seconds, just enough to get nice light trails of the cars below.Equipment
I used my Canon 5d Mark IV and the EF 16-35 f4 lens. The camera stood on a Sirui tripod. The tripod was postitioned partly on the door handle and partly on the banister, because it was too low. So I can only recommend to take a high enough tripod :-)Inspiration
I saw this perspecitve already in social media and loved the composition of the street as a leading line and the tv tower in the background.Editing
My first step is always to do major adjustments in Camera Raw. Afterwards I use photoshop for some small adjustments. In my camera bag
I always take my Canon 5d Mark IV and the EF 16-35 mm f4 with me. It is my absolute favorite lens and I like it for city photography as well as landscapes because of the wide angle and its sharpness. Aditionally to the lens I use diverse neutral density and polar filters to control reflections and the effects of long exposures. And of course a tripod belongs to my basic equipment.Feedback
