Aww how cute. Soft, cuddly and shy. The "mooning" dwarf in the back is a little distracting (sorry). I love it though :)

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is a picture of one of our mini lop babies and was taken in my rabbits garden. I am a self taught photographer and most of my photos are of my furry friends and my children.

Time

The photo was taken early evening after lying on the ground in mud for most of the afternoon watching Toffee going about his daily business and getting up to mischief.

Lighting

The run is shaded at this time of day so there is no bright mid day light and it's not to dark and as I was wanting a more mystical feel and for the rabbits colour to stand out against the back I found this shaded light to be just what I wanted.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon 4D using a 55-250mm lense. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I have always wanted to capture how sweet this rabbits personality is and how cute they look while cleaning their little faces and front feet. Usually by the time I have grabbed my camera they have hopped off but as Toffee stopped right in front of me to give himself a bath, I had to try a capture him.

Editing

The only processing I done on this photo was to add a little vignette to help focus more on the rabbit than his surroundings.

In my camera bag

I only have my Canon 4D and my 55-250 lense and my 18-55 lense and they go everywhere with me.

Feedback

When trying to photograph animals the best thing is patients but for photographing rabbits I find being as close to the ground as possible works the best for me.
