Location
I took this photo in Sicily, near the summit of Etna volcano.Time
It was late morning, but it didn't matter because of the clouds covering all the sky.Lighting
The light wasn't the best of course, but in a landscape photo you have to use what nature is giving to you.Equipment
Just an old Sony Alpha100 with a 16mm fisheye lens. No tripods, no external lights, just some comfortable shoes.Inspiration
The weather and light conditions were terrible, lot of wind, cold, sometimes rain, but you see, when you're in front of a natural show like this you can do nothing but take the camera and shoot. The dog was alone in that desolated and dead-looking rocky landscape. Contrast between death and life. I was astonished.Editing
Not a long post-processing, just two/three not so relevant adjustments on contrast and color balance. In my camera bag
Camera, as much lens as I can fin in, the always present tripod, some clothes for particular trips and something (a lot) to eat: looking for the best shot can take a very very long time and a lot of energies!Feedback
Take your camera and go, doesn't matter where, just go and have fun!
