Location
I took this photo outside of Boise, Idaho.Time
This was taken around midnight.Lighting
No lighting involved.Equipment
Nikon D5100 and a wide angle lens with a tripod.Inspiration
The road almost aligned with the Milky Way. There was no traffic so I got in the middle of the road. When I got the tripod set up and was taking the picture there just happened to be a truck coming around the bend and lighted up the road. It all worked out.Editing
Two pictures merged later. One for the foreground where I reduced the whites and highlights. The other of the Milky Way where I enhanced the clarity, then highlights and moved the curves a little to bring out the Dark Horse Nebula. In my camera bag
The camera and some lens with different focal lengthsFeedback
Dark skies are the best. Trying to get no lights from cities is getting harder and harder now a days.
