Location
I took this photo at Waihi Beach, New Zealand. I was out with a group of friends on the beach and saw the perfect shot.Time
It was just before dusk, maybe around 4:30pm, which during autumn or fall is around the right time for brilliant lightingLighting
The lighting was naturally dramatic and sharp enough to capture a vibrant reflection on the shorelineEquipment
Usually I use my Panasonic Lumix camera but tragically I had forgotten it, so this was shot on my Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 phone.Inspiration
I love reflections found on water, and the sky was so dramatic, it felt very much alive, I just had to try and capture itEditing
Nope, no post-processing hereIn my camera bag
The most important thing, obviously is my camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ30, its a couple of years old now but its reliable and I am unable to afford anything better at the moment. Also I like to take my phone with me, the lenses is 13mp so not too bad for a phone.Feedback
Much like the suggested comment said, patience is the key especially when you are doing landscapes and working with natural lighting, but you also have to be ready at any given moment for a shot like this. I always take my camera with me everywhere as you never know when the lighting and scenery is all perfect at the same time.
