Location
This photo was taken in Speightstown Barbados. ????????Time
I was walking around the town in the evening. I think this was around 5pm.Lighting
The unique lighting in the shot is a combination of exposure time, UV filter, the sunset and a passing storm.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi.Inspiration
I wanted to take a picture with a vanishing point. The lighting set the mood that caught my eye.Editing
For this picture I adjusted the saturation on the pier, the sky and the water to make it more visible. I also adjusted the clarity of the pier to give it more detail. Brighter highlights to show the position of the sun behind the clouds and deeper shadows for more silhouettes. In my camera bag
I always have my 10-18mm lens for landscapes, 17-85mm for all around use and my 50mm for portraits and low light pictures.Feedback
If there is something you want to capture, keep going back to that place. Different times of day, different weather, different seasons. Any change can give you unique results.
