This is an excellent composition. The lighting, the detail give life to the subject.... in 3 dimension.

Location
Took this photo in the streets of Flensburg, which is a city in Germany - 30miles from where I live.Time
December 28th last year, around 5PM was the time of this capture.Lighting
As I don´t own a flash, and the picture was taken on the street a late December, I had to boost my ISO to get the right amount of "light"Equipment
Hand-held shot with my Nikon D750 and a Tamron 24-70MM - no flash as mentioned.Inspiration
Choice number one of mine, is to walk in a rather big town where all are strangers to me. Seek out faces of people that tells a "story" This particular face I just had to capture - a homeless Dane living in Flensburg Germany. Offered him a cigarette, and was then allowed to take his picture.Editing
Captured in colour. Edited in Lightroom 6. Converted to black and white, and added grain. In my camera bag
The Nikon D750 and the Tamron 24-70MM, as I like to travel relative light. Almost never have my Nikon 105mm with me, and not very often the Nikon AF-S 80–400mm For pictures like this, I always use my TamronFeedback
Most people are shy of asking strangers regarding this. Just ask! If it´s a NO! then it´s a no. If it´s a yes, then it´s important Your camera is ready to go, and that the ISO, aperture and shutter time is set beforehand. Knowing how to use Your camera is always a good thing. Strangers in the street, I prefer to shoot in aperture or manual mode.
