Location
I knew these highland cattle was walking around in i field 20km from where I live. Next time I was in the area, I had the camera with me.Time
Wish I had chosen another time of day, but I can always return and try again. The light was a bit harsh. It was just after noon. Next time it will be early in the morning with fog - could be sweet :-)Lighting
Again, the lightning was not perfect, so I had to edit a little regarding that.Equipment
Handheld with no flash. A Nikon D750 with my 400mm - it´s good to keep a distance :-)Inspiration
I love animals. I love the look of this species.Editing
Lightroom only, as Photoshop is to complicated for me :-( High contrast and sharpening is mainly what I did. Made it black and white, as there was to much green in the picture (grass)In my camera bag
The Nikon D750 and the Tamron 24-70MM, as I like to travel relative light. Almost never have my Nikon 105mm with me, and not very often the Nikon AF-S 80–400mm. For pictures like this, the 400mm was a good thing.Feedback
Depends on what you want in the frame. For sceneries, the 400mm is not the right choice. An animal like this; 2000pound, it´s good to have a relative long lens. When dealing with animals, always be aware of Your surroundings. It´s good to have an escape plan if something goes south. Always walk slowly, as you don´t want to scare the animals away.
