Location
This picture was taken indoors at the dining room of a holiday flat. She stood in front of the wall and I was standing at the other side of the table bewtween us. In the Background, this is the plain white wall.Time
It was on afternoon, I think about 4pm or so. It was a cloudy day, what created this smooth light for us.Lighting
Just a window! Two meters left from my viewpoint there was a huge window that illuminated the whole room. It was 90 degree to the wall behind her. This, and the cloudy sky, thats all. No reflector or flash...Equipment
I used my Nikon D800e and the 85mm Sigma 1.4.Inspiration
She did. I love simplicity in my workflow and in the movement when it comes to BW shots. I also love the mood she created at this session. I just pressed the shutter!Editing
Yes I did, and there's a video on my youtube channel ;) I retouched it totally in color and converted it to bw at the end with some contrast enhancements. In my camera bag
A Nikon D800e, Nikon 35mm 1.4, Nikon 50mm 1.4, Sigma 85mm 1.4, Sigma 105mm 2.8 macro, a lenspen and a battery grip for my camera.Feedback
Yes absolutely! Get a meditative mood. Maybe sit down with your model and just watch what happens. Relax and take your shots. Let her do what she does. Less is more.
