What I like too is the choice of a man added to the body beauty and feeling of reality. Sorry for my bad english. Beautiful photo

Wow this is very beautiful, you always see Angels as women, so it was nice to see it as a man, love the black and white and the tinge of blue. The image has a bit of sadness to it. Great composition really tells a story.

Location
The photo was taken in my backyard. It was some kind of self portrait to test my new speedlight. The other one was a simple shot of a starting heron.Time
I was testing daylight and flash in a combination on a cloudy day. One of my first shots with my new speedlight.Lighting
To be honest, the photo itself wasn't very interesting so i decided to play a little bit with fake light and over exposure in post.Equipment
I used my one and only Canon 700D. For the selfie i took theCanon 50mm 1.8 and for the heron a 55-250mm IS STM. I own a YN560-III (you should buy the new one because it hast TTL as far as i know) and for this shot i used a 30€ tripod. Nothing special.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this shot because i had to do everything on my own. If you start shooting and your friends have other stuff to do, you are on your own. And if you want to be better than last week, you have to work on it. The shot of the heron was just because the beauty of mother nature. And because i love wings ;) The idea itself came later.Editing
This whole shot was "made" for post processing because there was nothing special in it. Just me half naked in front of a wall in my backyard (and maybe a few neighbours behind their windows). The whole concept was to play with brushes and brushes only. One of the greatest features of Photoshop is the option that you can make your own brushes. Pretty easy with amazing results. The fact that the heron's wings fit perfectly was a little bit luck since i don't own a laptop to check on location. I also used some adjustment layers (yay to adjustment layers) to make it darker and less saturated. And don't forget the masks. Never erase, always mask.In my camera bag
The equipment i have in my bag is pretty much the equipment i used for this shot plus a 18-55mm kit lens that came with the cam. I also own some DIY gadgets like a beauty dish or a shoulder rig made of an old tripod and some tape. I also own one of those cheap 5in1 reflector sets. That's pretty much it.Feedback
I can't give you special capturing advices for this shot because there are no. But i can share one thing i have learned over the last couple years. Never give up creating, never give up shooting, never give up being creative (that were three things, right?). I'm not a professional photographer but i have some skills in post production. And what this means is, i'm pretty lucky! I know how to take photos, I have a lot of phantasy and i know how to work with the mighty tools of post processing. As a kid you want to be a pilot or a princess, as a teenager you want dark long hair or a beard (or still become a princess). With post processing you can have all of this. And even in one photo.;)
