Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while walking in Ho Chi Minh streets in Vietnam . I saw that guy was building sail boats models , I asked him if I could shoot him and he said yes right away !

Time

That was I think end of the afternoon around 16h00 .

Lighting

Only natural lights were involved here .

Equipment

My camera , my eyes and one finger ;) !

Inspiration

I think the old man's face is telling a lot about his hard working life . He is beautiful . He inspired me more than his boats model for sure .

Editing

I only turned that color shot into a black and white .

In my camera bag

I mostly have my Canon 6D , a few lenses and flashes .

Feedback

The advice I can give for something like this is : Do not be scared to ask a person you do not know if you can shoot him/her . I understand that it can be a bit hard at the beginning , but everyone will most likely tell you yes ! And I think this is how you will get your shoot instead of standing somewhere and stealing people faces with a tele zoom ...
